Blue Wave
Blue Wave is GE Appliances’ company-wide commitment to year-round volunteerism, uniting employees across offices, plants, and field locations to support local nonprofits and meaningful community projects throughout the year. The Foundation supports this effort by funding supplies and materials, helping reduce the budgetary expense of projects completed in partnership with nonprofit organizations.
Volunteer project requests may be submitted year-round to the Volunteer Council, a cross-functional team of GE Appliances employees from across the business, who collaborate to partner with nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. Through Blue Wave, nearly 1,000 employees volunteer annually, delivering more than 15,000 volunteer hours and demonstrating GE Appliances’ strong culture of service and enduring commitment to the communities where we live and work.
